Born and raised in Pesaro Italy she married the love of her life, Turiddo and moved to Canada in 1955. Nonna was an extremely gifted knitter working with the Mary Marg Shoppe making wonderful baby sets for many new borns. She was an amazing cook and greatly enjoyed preparing family meals. She enjoyed travelling with dad to many locations in Italy and their yearly getaway with friends to the Caribbean for dad’s January birthday. She was devoted to her family and always placed others needs ahead of her own. Her favourite saying as we all know was “I'm ok“ regardless of how she really felt . Her generosity, kindness and caring ways will always be remembered and cherished by the ones that were fortunate to know her. A special thank you for the absolutely amazing care, love and compassion from all of the staff (her ‘angels’ and ‘bellas’) in the Whitewater neighbourhood at St. Gabriel Villa and to Gale who gave her the extra help she needed in the last few months. Private family funeral prayers in the R. J. Barnard Chapel, Jackson & Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch Street, Sudbury on Friday, April 23rd, 2021. Entombment in the Civic Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Gabriel’s Villa would be appreciated. No public visitation or service.
