Alexander Koroscil 1929 – 2021
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Alexander on Sunday, April 11th, 2021 at Extendicare York. Loving husband of 65 years to Mary (nee Jennings) predeceased January 2020, devoted father of Danny (France Albert) and Jeffrey. He was a special grandfather to Christopher and Nicholas whom he loved dearly. Son of Alexander and Katrina Koroscil (nee Zelenczuk) both predeceased. Brother of Anne Rozdeba (Peter) both predeceased, Steve (Anne) both predeceased, and Jim (Patsy) both predeceased. He will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.
Alex worked at INCO for 34 years, retiring in 1988. He loved hunting and fishing, and was most happy when his sons and grandsons were at camp. He would take his grandsons fishing every May long weekend and did fireworks for them each year.
Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium with a service and burial at Lasalle Cemetery to take place at a later date. Donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the Lougheed Funeral Home.
