FILOMENA CUOMO (Nee Cristo)
It is with great sorrow that the family announces Filomena’s passing on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Pioneer Manor at the age of 93 years. Filomena was born in Ponza Italy in 1928 and made Canada her home in 1949. Filomena loved cooking for the family and surrounded herself with numerous plants and flowers and the love of gardening. Beloved wife of Anthony “Tony" Cuomo of 72 years. Loving mother of Frank Cuomo, Angela (Steve predeceased) Haggerty, Sam (Linda), and Stan (Jeff) Cuomo. Cherished grandmother of Sean (Jenn), Ray (Leanne) Haggerty, and Joshua (Bryanna), Kayla (Carlos) Cuomo. Beloved great grandmother of Joshua Carroll-Jarrett, Liam, Riley, and Kirk Haggerty. Dear sister of Vergilia Ginetta (Luigi predeceased) Feola, and predeceased siblings Assunta Cristo (Italy), Anna Mazzella (U.S.A.), Damiano, Raffaele, and Silverio Cristo.

Friends may call Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. Funeral mass at St. Anthony’s Church, 19 Mary St., Sudbury on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. Entombment in the Park Lawn Cemetery.
