Carmelo Piconeri
August 10, 1971 – April 8, 2021
It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of my beloved son, Carmelo at Health Sciences North with his family at his side. Beloved son of Giuseppina (Del Mastro) Piconeri and Silvestro Piconeri predeceased. Survived by his mom, daughter Valentina, sister Anna Tate, niece Brittany Tate and nephew Tyler Tate and predeceased by his brother Anthony. Also survived by many aunts and uncles, Mary and Alan Holm, Julie Del Mastro, Pat and June Del Mastro, Roseanna and Dave Theobald, Lucy and Peter and Orazio Del Mastro, Rita Malafarina, Ublado Piconeri and also loved by many cousins and close friends. Carmelo worked in construction as a heavy duty equipment operator from a very young age. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and snowmobiling. He had a great affinity for the outdoors. He always brought positive energy to the room when he walked in it. Carmelo was quick to help others. In lieu of flowers, donations the Northern Cancer Foundation or Toronto Sick Kids Hospital would be appreciated. Resting at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch St., Sudbury. (Friends may call 2-6pm Sunday and after 9:30am Monday). Funeral Service in the R.J. Barnard Chapel on Monday, April 12, 2021 at 10:30am. Interment in the family plot at the Civic Cemetery. Due to the COVID-19 directives, 25 people in our visitation room and 40 people in our chapel with social distancing and facemasks required.
