Obituary

In Loving Memory of Donna-Lynn Baker (nee Gauvin), 57 years. Peacefully, Monday, March 29th, 2021 at her residence, with loving family at her side. Beloved wife of Dwight Baker. Loving mother of Curtis (Ashley Chamberland) and Kaitlin. Cherished grandmother of Brooklyn. Dear daughter of Arthur and Jacqueline (Lavoie) Gauvin both predeceased. Loving sister of Sharlene Lapointe (André), Debbie Michelutti (Peter), Jo-Anne Lalonde (Roger), Tracy Kingsley (Barry) and special sister to Debbie Sabourin (who was her dedicated and loving caregiver). Sadly missed by loving nieces and nephews. Loving daughter in law to Wayne and Rejeanne Baker and loved sister in law to Jaye Baker. Special aunt to Justin, Ryan, and Branden Dockery, and sadly missed by Katie Morin.

Donna was a passionate advocate in her work at the Breast Screening Program where she worked as a radiology technologist. She spent many happy times at the family camp at Lost Channel. She had a great affinity for the beauty of nature and a good glass of red wine. She was an accomplished crafter whose creations are treasured by family and friends. She enjoyed travelling, especially anywhere there was water and a beach. Donna will be remembered as a very giving and generous person whose smile and presence lit up the room. Donna was the glue of the family, making sure everyone was loved and looked after. The light of her life will be cherished by all who knew and loved her. The family would like to thank Dr. Lacey Pitre who provided Donna with the best and most compassionate care as well as all the staff at the Northern Cancer Centre, nurse Jennifer Lavrizzi , nurse practitioner Danielle Drouin and PSW Josephine Adama.
