Obituary for John William Robertson
In Loving Memory of William “John” Robertson, March 15th, 1946 - March 7th, 2021. Loving husband of Rita (Mearini) Robertson. Loving father of Gary Robertson (Carlene Smith) and Tina Robertson (Jesse Bilow). Cherished grandfather of Thomas, Jonathan, Victoria, Meagan, Courtney, great-grandchildren Alexandria, Jason, and Jordan, and fur-baby Zeus. Dear son of Alfred and Queenie (Smith) Robertson both predeceased. Loving brother of Margaret L’Espérance (Samuel), Robert (‘Peanut’) predeceased (wife Mavis), and Mary predeceased (husband James). Dear son in law of Luigi and Elba Mearini both predeceased, and brother in law of John Mearini (Monique). Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
John will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humour and his heart of gold. He was always quick to help others. John was a proud truck driver who literally drove the North American continent. He enjoyed travelling to Cuba, where he met the love of his life, Rita.
Funeral Service in the R. J. Barnard Chapel, Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch Street, Sudbury, on Thursday, March 11th, 2021 at 3pm. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. Friends may call after 12noon Thursday.
