Obituary for Almina Marie-Dora "Mina" James (Pomerleau)

It is with great sadness that we all lost a great woman, Almina James (née Pomerleau), 83 years on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at Health Sciences North, Sudbury. Beloved wife of David James. Loving mother of Carol Bergeron (Dan), Annette Aubut, Viviane Moore (Glen), Pauline Pomerleau (Claude), Michael, Ronald (Joanne), Robert and Brent James. She had 16 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. She is the loving sister to Victor, Ray, Richard, Donald, Andy and predeceased by Octave, Oscar, Marcel, Wilfred, Gerry, Grace, Aline and Madeleine. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Mina loved her jigsaw puzzles, painting, shopping and scratch tickets. She enjoyed her trips to the East and West Coasts and Las Vegas then she was a stay at home person loving being with her family. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Northern Cancer Foundation would be appreciated. Funeral Service in the Lougheed Funeral Home (Hanmer/Capreol Chapel), 4605 Michelle Dr., Hanmer on Sunday, March 7, 2021 at 2pm. Cremation with entombment in the Civic Cemetery Mausoleum. Friends may call after 12noon Sunday. Due to the COVID-19 directives, 50 people or in the visitation room and the chapel. Facemasks are mandatory with social distancing.
