Obituary for Catherine Ruth Potvin (Pilkington)
In loving memory of Catherine Potvin (Pilkington) who passed away at Health Sciences North on Saturday, February 13th, 2021 at the age of 77. Beloved wife of Daryl Potvin predeceased 2016. Loving mother of Corrine Potvin (Eric Elmhirst), Susan Ghent (Stephen) and Tammy MacDonald (Scott). Cherished grandmother of Robert, Victoria and James Elmhirst, Dalton and Denver Ghent, Brenden and Haley MacDonald and her fur grandbabies Lilly and Stella and Leo.
Cathy lived her life for her family. She was frequently heard saying, “No matter what, your family will always be there for you”. She loved to laugh, dance, sing to the guitar and cook for family and friends. She spent winters in Panama City Beach with the love of her life, Daryl. Summers were spent with family on the West Arm and McGregor Bay the last few years. Her three girls (also known as “Charlie’s Angles) were her pride and joy. Her positive outlook on life and pure zest for living will be dearly missed.
At Cathy’s request, there will be no visitation or service at this time. Cremation to take place with burial with her husband at Civic Memorial Cemetery. Donations to the Northern Cancer Foundation are requested by the family.
