Obituary for Conrad Bertrand
In loving memory of Conrad Bertrand who passed away peacefully on Friday, February 12th, 2021 at Pioneer Manor at the age of 86 with his loving family by his side.
Beloved husband of Joan Bertrand (Mott) predeceased 2008. Loving father of Danny predeceased, Debbie Emond (Guy), Randy and Linda Cyr (Stefan). Cherished grandfather of Mike (Laura), Rick (Aleasha), Lisa (Andy), Danny (Melissa), Christine (Keith), Ashley (Trevor), Jessyca (Tyler) and Briana (Dylan) and great grandfather of Austin, Brittney, Cameron, Brooke, Tyler, Linkin, Blake, Alexis, Carter, Aly, Bryce, Kaden and Jace. Predeceased by his parents Onesime and Rose-Yvonne (Bigras) and siblings Raymond and Fernand. Dear brother of Floe-Ange. Tomassini. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews and his canine buddy Sadie. Lovingly remembered by Lise Wither and her family. The family express their appreciation to the staff at Pioneer Manor Killarney Unit especially Yong and Jen for their excellent care and support.
He was a miner at Inco with 36 years of service retiring in 1986. He was a member of SOAR. Conrad enjoyed camping, travelling, bird watching and spending time with his precious grandchildren. He will be remembered as easy going and always there to help others. He had a wonderful sense of humour that he generously showed. Conrad, rest easy – with your own words “Good for you”.
A celebration of his life will be held at the Jackson & Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch Street, Sudbury where friends may gather after 11am Thursday. Prayers and words of remembrance in the R. J. Barnard Chapel Thursday, February 18th, 2021 at 2pm. Cremation with interment in the family plot. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society, Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Northern Cancer Research Foundation would be appreciated.
