Obituary for Robert Higgins
Higgins, Robert (Bob) - With great sorrow the family announces the passing of Robert (Bob) Higgins of Sudbury at the age of 79 on Wednesday, January 6th, 2021. Bob passed away peacefully from Alzheimer's Disease.
He is survived by his loving wife Delores and his daughters Sandra, Darlene (Marc) and Delores (Dino) and beloved grandchildren Kaelan and Teagan and many nieces and nephews. Bob will also be missed by his sister Patrica (Brian) and is predeceased by brothers Jack and Donald.
Bob's most memorable job was working at Canadian Tire after retirement where he made many friends and just loved his time there. Bob always made himself available to those in need, whether it was to fix their car or to help with Scouts as a Scout Leader. Bob enjoyed time with his wife on family camping trips with his daughters and grandchildren and sons in law. He took great joy in teaching campfire etiquette to his grandsons. He enjoyed the fun and fellowship of the JOY Group at Glad Tidings Church. He will be missed and fondly remembered for his sense of humour.
In keeping with Bob's wishes, cremation will occur and a celebration of life will take place at some time in spring of 2021. If desired, donations to the Alzheimer’s Foundation are suggested in lieu of flowers.
