It is with profound sadness, surrounded by love, the family of Mary DeCecco announces her death on December 27th, 2020 at Pioneer Manor at the age of 93. Predeceased by Amos, her loving husband of 70 years. Our mother was born in Port Colbourne on March 4th, 1927 to Gino and Santina Macoritto, both predeceased. Also predeceased by siblings Olimpio (Martha), Edward, and Jean Zuliani. Survived by sister-in-law Paula and brother-in-law Elio. Loving and devoted mother of Elizabeth O’Hara (Larry predeceased and Daniel (Maarit). Cherished Noni of Neil (Julie), David (Carolyn), Ryan (Robyn), Matthew (Kayleigh), Jon predeceased and Lydia (Bruno). She was the loving Bis-Noni of Kathryn, Tytan, Maillie, Alxsys, Lawryn, Brooklynn, Nathan, Hayden, Connor, Korra and Clarkson. We would like to especially thank Pioneer Manor (Killarney Wing) for their excellent care and compassion over the past 5 years. A devoted Roman Catholic, Mary was a founding member of St. Patrick’s Church and life member of the parish CWL. A private family funeral mass will be held at St. Patrick’s Church, 39 Walford Rd., Sudbury on Wednesday, December 30th, 2020. Cremation with interment in the Civic Memorial Cemetery. Donations to the Inner City Home or Neo Kids would be greatly appreciated.
