In Loving Memory of Giuseppe (Bepi, Joe) Piuzzi, 88 years. It is with great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of their much beloved father and Nonno, on December 10th, 2020. Giuseppe Piuzzi was the beloved husband of 61 years to Franca (Castellani) Piuzzi, predeceased. Loving father of Dino Piuzzi, Denise Piuzzi-Goodmurphy (husband Peter), and Lisa Piuzzi (husband Todd). Cherished Nonno to David (Chelsea), Robert, Steven, Marissa, and Zack. Bisnonno to Kendra and Jaxon. Dear brother of Mario Piuzzi in Switzerland. Bepi was very proud of all his nephews and nieces, and he loved them very much.

Giuseppe was born in San Daniele del Friuli, Italy. He lived his youth during WWII. Once the war ended, he completed his military year in San Remo, Italy. He then went to work in Switzerland, where he learned to speak French. He arrived in Nova Scotia, Pier 21 on the Queen Federica, on April 5th, 1956. He made his home in Sudbury, where he met the love of his life, Franca. Bepi was actively involved in the Caruso Club Choir, Sudbury Multicultural Club, Caruso Club, the Fogolar Furlan, and the Alpini. He often volunteered for many Sudbury events. In the mornings, you would find Joe at Gatchell pool and the YMCA. For many years, he enjoyed travelling to Italy with his wife.

Giuseppe was well-known by many in the Sudbury community, especially in Azilda. Bepi was the happiest when surrounded with family, friends, and when socializing with everyone who crossed his path. He was a role model for the Furlan culture and ensured the traditions continued to flourish. Everyone was always welcome around the dining room table, and were generously offered prosciutto and vino. He will be remembered for his kindness, his sense of humour, his knowledge of history and geography, and for his love of dogs, especially Mickey.

Lisa and family,
I was saddened to learn of Bepi's death. I extend to you and all your family my sincerest condolences.
In September I saw you at HSN when my husband who subsequently died was hospitalized and Bepi was also there. I always enjoyed speaking to him about Friƻl and the value of our culture and language.

to the Piuzzi family, my heartfelt condolence. With my late husband, Beni, we shared many happy times together with your parents. You are all in my thoughts and prayers as you journey thru this difficult time which has been made more difficult by Covid. 'When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure.'

To the family;
Sorry to hear of the loss of your father Bepi. He was a good friend to my father Mario and when we crossed paths with him we really enjoyed the conversations we had of the past and the memories of our birthplace in Italy. We extend our deepest condolences to all the family during this difficult time.šŸ™
