Obituary

It is with great sadness the family of Carol Davies announces her passing on Saturday November 21st, 2020 at 73 years of age.

Carol was born in Massey on September 12th, 1947 to William and Florence Hansen (predeceased). She was one of five siblings - Janet (predeceased), Brenda, Peggy (Arnie), and Donna, whom she will be fondly remembered by.

Carol spent many dedicated years working at Cambrian College and continued to walk the halls post-retirement with her monthly Avon deliveries. Together Carol and Alfred (predeceased) were able to create lovely memories travelling abroad and spending time with family and their many friends.

Carol will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her children Laura, Robbie (Anna), step children Glenis (Mike) and Alison (Jason), and her 12 grandchildren Kelsie, Kurtis, Katarina, Keifer, Keenan, Christian, Mila, Nicholas, Victor, Victoria, Morgan and Paige and one great grandchild, whom she cherished, Beckam-Alfred; he will never forget his Gigi. As well as many other relatives and friends.

Carol, a fighter until the very end, ultimately succumbed to heart issues, yet in the loving words of her youngest grandson “there was nothing wrong with her heart!”. Resilience and drive pushed her to create a beautiful life which she loved, and her warm spirit made her a friend to everyone who knew her. She will be sadly missed, and never forgotten.

Carol was one of the first people I met when I started working at Cambrian College back in 1978. She was very kind to me and helped me navigate the policies and procedures of the college. She and I worked in the same office for a number of years. After she retired I enjoyed seeing Carol in the halls with her Avon goodies.
My deepest condolences to all of Carol's family and loved ones in particular Laura and Brenda. Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers. Wishing you peace and comfort during this difficult time.

Our hearts ache for Carol’s family and friends during this time. Carol was an amazing person, a good friend, who will truly be missed. She was someone whose light shown on everyone around her. We often reminisce about the fun times we spent together camping, enjoying dinners, playing cards and get togethers. Her quick wit, wonderful smile and chuckle made her a pleasure to be around. Carol was an important compasses in many people’s lives and with her loss comes so many layers of sorrow. We must all take comfort with the love, and memories we shared with her.
Sincere condolences to the Kidd, Hansen and Davies family.

I remember how Carol could rise to an occasion. Carol and Alf were visiting us here in Victoria when Peggy suddenly had to go int hospital. Carol took over food buying and cooked for us all so I could spend more time at the hospital. I will never forget the deep kindness she showed us during that time. Arnie
