Obituary

Timothy (Tim) Murphy
In Loving Memory of Timothy Andrew Murphy, 70 years.
Saturday afternoon November 7th, 2020 at Health Sciences North, Sudbury.
Pre-deceased by his parents and sister. Tim was born in (County Kerry, Ireland) and immigrated to Canada in 1975. Soon after arriving in Sudbury, he joined the Millwright Union, Local 1425, where he was a member for 42 years. Tim worked throughout the Province of Ontario. Tim was very fond of sports. In his younger years in Ireland he was an accomplished cross-country runner, and a Gaelic football player. He played soccer for a local team after arriving in Sudbury. Tim was a member of the Irish Heritage of Sudbury throughout all of his years here in Sudbury. Tim will be sadly missed by family, friends and neighbours in Ontario. The family wishes to thank Dr. Killian de Blacam, the Nurses on 7th floor North Tower, for their kindness and excellent care of Tim.

Funeral service at in the R.J. Barnard Chapel at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch St., Sudbury on Monday, November 16th, 2020 at 11:30am. (Friends may gather after 11am Monday). People wishing to make a donation in Tim’s name can do so to the Irish Heritage Club/Organ Donation. Due to the COVID-19 directives, 80 people or less in our chapel.
