In Loving Memory of Armando Vigna. Peacefully, Wednesday, November 4th, 2020 at Pioneer Manor, Sudbury, with loving family at his side. Armando was born in Aprigliano, Cosenza, on March 12th, 1927, the son of Leonardo and Marianna Vigna, both predeceased. Having come to Canada on August 21st, 1953, he married Candida (Marasco) in Italy on February 27th, 1958. Loving father of Gianni (Karin), Peter (Edith), and Mary Ann. Cherished Nonno of Sophie, Christina, Matteo, Daphne, Jasmine, Marco, Bianca, and Taylor, and Bisnonno to Jayna and Alayna. Dear brother of Rita (Tony), Anna (Ernesto), Sam (Erminia), and Frank (Helen), all predeceased. Dear brother in law of Angelina (Giuseppe) predeceased, Cesare (Ida) predeceased, Maria, Giuliana predeceased, Antonietta (Domenico predeceased), and Frank (Santina). Special father-in-law to Roxanne (Ranger) and Doug Brown. Much-loved uncle of many nieces and nephews. Armando worked for Dellece Construction as a body man and as custodian at Lasalle Secondary School. He was a life member of the Caruso Club. He loved to garden. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Hope Church, 591 Brennan Road, Sudbury, on Saturday, November 7th, 2020 at 10:30am. No funeral home visitation. Entombment in the Civic Memorial Cemetery Mausoleum. Due to COVID-19 Pandemic directives, 50 people or fewer may attend the Mass, and face masks are required. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Sudbury Food Bank would be appreciated.
