On Saturday October 3rd, 2020, at 93 years old, and while peacefully asleep at home, Rose was delivered to heaven’s gate. Beloved wife of 56 years to Joseph (predeceased 2003). Loving mother to her four daughters Joan (George), Susan (Terry), Sandra (Michael Fox), Maryann (Robert), and two sons David (predeceased) and Robert. Cherished grandmother to eleven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. Dear daughter of Joseph and Kathryn (Ozga) Rydzik and siblings Mary, Frank, Sylvia, Edward, Ted, Walter, and Alphonse, all predeceased. Born in Poland, the family migrated to rural Saskatchewan when Rose was two. After moving to Toronto for waitressing work, she met Joe and later moved to Coniston to marry and raise their family. She was a lifetime member of the Catholic Women’s League and a devout participant in the St. Paul’s parish community. Rose was a talented seamstress, crocheter, and cook who was always sharing the fruits of her labour with family, neighbours, and friends. From her homemade pies and preserves, to her delicious perogies and cabbage rolls, one never left her home hungry or without a little something to take home. She will always be remembered for her strength, kindness and unconditional love. Special thanks to Lydia who helped the family in their time of need.
