Obituary for Lorraine Vaudrie (Martin)
In loving memory of Lorraine Vaudrie (nee Martin), 83, who passed away peacefully on September 28, 2020 at Health Sciences North, Sudbury, ON. Daughter of the late Eli and late Ida Martin. Cherished wife of the late Dave (aka Sonny) Vaudrie. Loving mother of Robb Vaudrie, grandmother of Keely Vaudrie. and missed by daughter-in-law Kathy Murphy. Dear sister of Vivian (Ron) O’Rielly, Richard (Liette) Martin, Elie (Claudette) Martin, Eddy (Audrey predeceased) Martin and Evelyn (Virginio) Battistoni, both predeceased. Lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Lorraine was born and raised in Sudbury, ON. In her earlier years, she worked at various establishments including: Dominion’s grocery, Silverwood Dairy, and Crawley & McCraken then finished off her career days with Sodexo Canada.
It was no secret that Lorraine had a passion for dancing. We can all take comfort in knowing that she’s Heaven’s finest dance partner now.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Lorraine can be made to the Northern Cancer Foundation. Due to COVID-19 Pandemic concerns, interment alongside her husband will take place at a later date with close family in attendance. Arrangements entrusted to the Lougheed Funeral Home, www.lougheed.org.
