Obituary for John Thomas "Jack" Bearman

John (Jack) Thomas Bearman
November 21, 1931-August 31, 2020

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of John (Jack) Thomas Bearman in his 89th year at Health Sciences North Sudbury, August 31, 2020. "Jack" is now resting peacefully with his loving wife Donna Jean (Moffat - predeceased March 17, 2011). Loving father of Richard Bearman (Colette), Jacqueline Copland (Wayne Baker), Deborah Zettler (Brian Zettler), Cathy O'Hagan, Nancy Bearman (Angel Hidalgo Vazquez). Cherished grandfather of Terri-Lynn, BJ, Nicole, Chantal, Kellen, Nicholas, Zachary, Brittany, Tyler, Natasha and Daniel. Jack also leaves behind 16 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Jack will be sadly missed by his nieces and nephews and many friends.

Jack was predeceased by his parents Ernest and Mary (Wright) Bearman and by his sister Eleanor Moore and brother Ronald Bearman, Brother and Sister In-Laws Harvey and Ruth Moffat. He is also predeceased by his sons-in-law Micheal O'Hagan and William (Bill) Copland.

Jack and Donna were well known and respected owners and operators of the Queens Hotel (1969-1984 Walkerton) and the French River Inn since 1985.

Jack was a member of the Walkerton Legion Branch 102 and long-standing member of the Masonic Lodge.

Our heartfelt appreciation to the Nurses, Doctors, PSWs and staff at Health Sciences North Hospital Sudbury for the special care and attention given to Jack. A special Thank You to Ann Palamar (Nurse Practitioner) at the Britt nursing station for all your care and kindness. The family would also like to thank the amazing staff that supported Jack, Donna, and family throughout their years.

May his Strength, Courage, Generosity, and Kindness continue to inspire all who knew and loved him.

At Jack’s request there will be no funeral visitation or service. Cremation with interment in the Burford Pioneer Cemetery, where a private family service will be held at a later date.
