Obituary for Fleurette Jeanne Arcand (Roy)

In loving memory of Fleurette Arcand (née Roy) 94 years. Born in River Valley on March 1st, 1926 passed away peacefully at Health Sciences North on Friday, August 28th, 2020.

Beloved wife of Philippe Arcand predeceased in 1990. Loving mother of Richard (Hélène), Gilles (Shirley), Lise Arcand-Gordon (Tim), Denis (Lise) and Liane (Daniel). Cherished Mémère of Alain (Kristina), Jean (Josée), Pamela (Roberto), Jennifer (Robert), Guy, Natalie (Pierre) and Sara and great grandmother of Benjamin and Olivier. Predeceased by her parents Josephat and Eloisia Roy (nee Dignard). Dear sister of Rolland predeceased (Josette), Marie (Alex) both predeceased, Roméo (Jeannette, Lizette predeceased), Yollande (Armand predeceased), Pauline (Bill) and Jeanne predeceased (Edward) and sister-in-law of Jeanne (Bernard) both predeceased, Fernand predeceased (Margot), Jean-Marc (Laurence) both predeceased, Rolland predeceased (Alda), Laurier predeceased (Rollande), Beatrice (Rod) both predeceased) and Guy predeceased (Huguette). She will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, friends and family.

Fleurette adored her grandchildren, she lived for them and they brought her great joy. She had a love of nature, going for walks, picking blueberries and made many happy memories at her cottage. She enjoyed painting and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 76 Ladies Auxiliary.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Pioneer Manor, especially the York Wing for their exceptional care and compassion. Also, thank you to the staff at Finlandia Village and Health Sciences North 7th and 4th floors for their care.

There will be no visitation or service. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium with interment alongside her husband in Sturgeon Falls at a later date.
