Obituary for Daniel Paul Lisi

In Loving Memory of Daniel Lisi, who passed away on Thursday, August 20th at the age of 58. Beloved husband of Shelley Lisi. Proud father of Tyler (Jess Serafini) and Sierra (Nolan Fitchett). Dear son of Achille and Yolanda. Loving brother of Silvia Fiorino (Luigi) and Nadia Barlow (Ray). Special son in law of Blondie and Shorty Moratz (predeceased). Brother-in law of Randy Moratz (Cheryl), Karen Jenkins and Dennis Moratz (predeceased). Cherished uncle of Lori Fiorino, Tegan Legge (Andrew), Katie and Mackenzie Bowen, Kyra Moratz (Cooper Beres), Karen Barlow and Alison Mosher (Paul) and great uncle to Nessie and Emmett Legge and Megan, Adam and Ben Mosher. Honorary brother to Dale, Diego and Rob.
Dan enjoyed family gatherings to celebrate any occasion and of course to enjoy his mother’s homemade pasta, especially gnocchi. He worked for 35 years at CRA and made many loyal and true friends to whom he always lent a listening ear but soon followed with a quick witted one liner. Dan will be remembered as an avid sports fan for the Toronto Blue Jays, Minnesota Vikings, Montreal Canadiens and the Sudbury Wolves. Dan never missed attending all his children’s sporting events. He always looked forward to the yearly Boys’ Weekend at the Kirkwood’s camp on lake Penage (Don’t worry boys, whatever happened at camp, stayed at camp).
Shelley would like to say thank you to everyone that helped by taking Dan to his many appointments. The family wishes to give a special thank you to his faithful nurse, Christina who not only provided medical care but showed true kindness and friendship. Thank you to the many doctors that Dan had seen over the years. We would also like to thank all staff on the 8th floor for their extraordinary care during his stays and the nurses on the 5th floor where he spent his final days.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 24th, 2020 at 10am at the Jackson & Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch Street, Sudbury. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Dan to the HSN Foundation Cardiac Program at www.hsnfoundation.com.
Due to the COVID-19 directives, there will be a maximum of 80 allowed in the chapel. Masks are mandatory. For those who cannot attend, the service will be live streamed at: https://www.oneroomstreaming.com/view/authorise.php?k=159796755473272
