Obituary for Dale Burgess

BURGESS, MILTON DALE

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Milton Dale Burgess on Wednesday, August 5th, 2020 at the age of 67. Beloved husband of 27 years to Janet Burgess (nee Schroeder). Loving father to Karen (Sean) of Leamington, Ontario, Kellie (Darren) of Halifax, Nova Scotia and to Cole (Katrina) of Sudbury. Cherished Papa to Taylor and Payton. Son of Milton and Helen Burgess both predeceased. Dear brother of Judy (Gord), Shari (Bob predeceased), Randy (Betty), Kim (Gary) and Melissa (Fred). He will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, family and great friends.

Dale was born in Windsor, Nova Scotia and raised in Sudbury, Ontario where he spent most of his career in the Automotive Industry. He owned and operated Dale’s Auto Service on Falconbridge Road until he retired in 2012. Dale loved and accepted everyone unconditionally and always put others ahead himself. He loved doing things for others and never expected anything in return. His strength and determination were inspiring. He was a great listener, very mellow, soft spoken, humble and kind. His garage both at work and at home, was in some sort, his home away from home where everybody knew his name and were welcomed to drop in at any time, to sit and chat. He will live on in our hearts forever!
