Loving son of Bill and Helen Smith (both predeceased). Dear brother of Bill and uncle to Keldon (Chelsea). Brian adored his daughter Melanie (husband Robert) and his energetic grandson, Harvey. He was proud to call himself stepfather to Jordan (Amanda) and Brian (Amber). Born in Sudbury, Brian worked for Manitoulin Transport for 35+ years prior to his retirement. He was a lifelong Boston Bruins and Dallas Cowboys fan. He loved watching sports, playing poker, fishing with his brother and having coffee with his daughter.
A private service to celebrate Brian’s life will be taking place with close family and friends at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch St., Sudbury. In memory of Brian, the family is suggesting donations be made to the Health Sciences North Foundation, Critical Care Unit.
