In Loving Memory of Walter C. Quaiattini
November 4, 1933 - August 1, 2020

Passed away in the loving care of Pioneer Manor caregivers and his sons in Sudbury, Ontario on Saturday, August 1, 2020. Beloved husband of 56 years to Adele (Sowa) who he loved and cherished through their blessed life together and predeceased him in 2019. Loving father to Paul Quaiattini (Susan), Gordon Quaiattini (Sylvie), and Thomas Quaiattini (Margaret). Wonderful grandfather (Nono) to Perry, Benjamin, Noah, Katrina, and Tristan. Predeceased by his brother Zelio, sister Lietta and parents Luigi and Giulia Quaiattini.

Walter (T.D.) was a wonderful and loving husband and father committed to his family and his many beloved life-long friends. He spent his entire life in Sudbury as an active volunteer member in his community, church (St. Patrick’s Parish), golf course and curling club (Idylwylde Golf and Country Club) and a number of organizations he supported. Over an almost 50-year career at Noront Steel as a draftsman and Chief Estimator, he was an integral member of the management team and contributed to building Sudbury and Northern Ontario into the community and region it became. He especially enjoyed the many projects - homes, additions, camps/cottages and retail projects - he designed by hand at his drafting table in his sunroom for his many friends and business colleagues over the years. He was forever devoted to his family and friends. He will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.

Having grown up together in the west end, not to mention that we were neighbours, I was saddened to hear of Walter's demise. Our condolences to the family who hopefully will be consoled by the fact that they were blessed with wonderful parents.

I have so many memories of Walter and my dad doing drafting together at my parents' house when I was growing up. He was always very kind to me and my sisters and would take time to talk with us and tell us jokes. I was saddened when Adele told me, about 8 years or so ago, that Walter was experiencing exacerbated health problems, and I am saddened now to learn that he has died. On behalf of the Sandul family, I wish to offer my heartfelt condolences to the family. Rest in peace Walter. Judy (Sandul) Kosmerly
