Obituary for June Marlyn "Marlyn" Webster (Ojala)
In loving memory of June Marlyn Webster (nee Ojala) (1935-2020).
With love and fond memories, we announce the peaceful passing on Saturday, July 4, 2020, of a dear wife of Kenneth Webster (predeceased, February 2011), mother and grandmother at Marianhill LTC, Pembroke, Ontario in her 86th year. Beloved daughter of Martti and Martha Ojala (nee Harri) (both predeceased). Survived by her loving brother Melvin Ojala of Sudbury. Loving mother of Kenneth Webster Jr., Daughter-in-law Laura (nee Durepeau)of Petawawa, Penny Webster of Sudbury, and three loving grandsons, Trevor Brown of South Korea, Tyler Brown (Tabitha Walli) of Sudbury, and Derrick Webster (Emily Bylow) of Orillia. Predeceased by daughters Lynn Grishko (June 2009, Michael, November 1997) and Nancy Webster (December 2013). She and Ken enjoyed travelling around the world and some of their favourite places were Australia, New Zealand and Europe. Marlyn graduated from Laurentian University in 1981with her BA in Psychology. She enjoyed many activities such as skiing, swimming, social events, and cards. She was an avid reader and liked to keep up with current news and politics. She also was known to enjoy her glass of wine and cheese at our family gatherings. We would like to send a special thank you to all the nurses and staff at Marianhill LTC for the wonderful care given to Marlyn. She will be dearly missed by all family and friends.
A private family service will take place in the R.J. Barnard Chapel, Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch St., Sudbury on Saturday, July 11th, 2020 followed by burial at Civic Memorial Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Marianhill (600 Cecelia St. Pembroke, ON K8A 7Z3) would be appreciated.
