Obituary for Lillian Marie Rose Clyke (Sarazin)

In Loving Memory of
Marie Rose “Lillian” Clyke
(nee Sarazin)
86 years
Wednesday, July 1st, 2020 at Health Sciences North, Sudbury.

Loving mother of Debbie Mariner, Sheryl Clyke-Pilotte (Bruce Mahaffy predeceased), Charmaine Gazdic-Querney (Tom), Geraldine Laforet (Paul), Gerald Jr. (Mandelina), Catherine (Sugith), James, and Henry (Lisa). Cherished grandmother of 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchilren. Dear daughter of Henry and Alma (Lauzon) Sarazin both predeceased. Loving sister of Larry Sarazin (Joan) both predeceased, Ronnie St. Pierre predeceased (Patricia), and Rick St. Pierre (Cathy). Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Best friend of Joan Ceaser.

Lillian’s passion was her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved playing crib and proclaimed “You have to get up pretty early to beat me, and I am fast around corners!”. She loved fishing with her boys in Pickerel and Blind River. Lillian was as honoured and proud to drive a school bus for children with special needs as she was when she helped so many, working the night shift as a front line worker taking telephone calls of distress from those in crisis. Although she had eight kids, she happily opened her home to any child who needed food, shelter, and a safe place to land. Until her final days, Lillian always kept her bright optimism when asked how she was doing and her answer was of course was "I'm fine as wine".

Our sincere thank you to Health Sciences North RNs Christine and Lorie as well as all of the doctors and staff who compassionately cared for our mother during a very difficult time.
