In Loving Memory of
Marie Rose “Lillian” Clyke
(nee Sarazin)
86 years
Wednesday, July 1st, 2020 at Health Sciences North, Sudbury.

Loving mother of Debbie Mariner, Sheryl Clyke-Pilotte (Bruce Mahaffy predeceased), Charmaine Gazdic-Querney (Tom), Geraldine Laforet (Paul), Gerald Jr. (Mandelina), Catherine (Sugith), James, and Henry (Lisa). Cherished grandmother of 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchilren. Dear daughter of Henry and Alma (Lauzon) Sarazin both predeceased. Loving sister of Larry Sarazin (Joan) both predeceased, Ronnie St. Pierre predeceased (Patricia), and Rick St. Pierre (Cathy). Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Best friend of Joan Ceaser.

Lillian’s passion was her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved playing crib and proclaimed “You have to get up pretty early to beat me, and I am fast around corners!”. She loved fishing with her boys in Pickerel and Blind River. Lillian was as honoured and proud to drive a school bus for children with special needs as she was when she helped so many, working the night shift as a front line worker taking telephone calls of distress from those in crisis. Although she had eight kids, she happily opened her home to any child who needed food, shelter, and a safe place to land. Until her final days, Lillian always kept her bright optimism when asked how she was doing and her answer was of course was "I'm fine as wine".

Our sincere thank you to Health Sciences North RNs Christine and Lorie as well as all of the doctors and staff who compassionately cared for our mother during a very difficult time.

Donations in lieu of flowers to the Children’s Aid Society of the Districts of Sudbury and Manitoulin. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. Arrangements entrusted to the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home,

You made me laugh, you made me cry (happy tears of course) . When we sang together my heart would sing right back. Your jokes and sense of humor and the way that you would tell stories about dancing and hitting the town with Joan every night of the week, your baby blues would lite up with excitement re-living those memories. The way you would make me chuckle when you would call me all the names of your children, and grandchildren before you landed on mine, demonstrating just how abundant in love and people our family is. Grandma you were one of a kind and everyone who met you, knew you, and were blessed enough to get a piece of you in their life knew that. You are missed everyday but you are NEVER forgotten. Thank you for loving me so deeply, thank you for giving me the solid and unfaltering family base that you created. Thank you for being you in every single aspect of your life. I love you, I miss you. Je t'aime!!! xoxoxoxo

My Momma,
What can I say, she was the most special ,wonderful, caring momma , we all had great times with her , she would make me laugh when she knew something was wrong, always there to listen, we did many trips together, tops trips , Blind River, Penetanguishene, Toronto, Winnipeg, Kakabeka Falls , driving around Sudbury bring up memories and laughing, trips to the dairy queen Falconbridge driving around on her scooter. ect...... Mom I have so many great memories with you, my heart hurts and ohh how I miss you , Mom we had a lot of good years together and thank you for all the good memories, I miss you and you will always be in my heart and in our home, you have given your heart to each and every one of us, when we would watch Family Feud (just one of the shows) and l would say an answer and you would say that wont be there and it was , l would get up and dance around the living room ,you would laugh and say l was crazy lol watching Jaws so many times that l could watch with my eyes closed, but you loved it... Mom l could write a book on all our things we did together, l love you with all my heart and l miss just sitting here talking , coming home and you waiting for me and saying is that you Sheryl.. l could say so much more but l well just say you are missed and l LOVE YOU with all my heart..xxxxxxxx

I was “ Mama’s Little Big Girl”. The Eldest .. Every letter Mama wrote to me was addressed like that. I use to love getting Her funny letters catching you up on things. She liked to sing, tell stories of times Gone by... but most of all she loved to be surrounded by Us... dancing and laughing and joking around and everyone claiming to be Mamas favorite ... and we ALL knew we were! She use to sing the sadness out of you. If Mama had a super Power ... she would ding things away. It was her instant cure for making the sad things go away and you would be singing along with her in no time. Mom lived her life strictly for us ... we felt every second of it! We already miss ya Mama! I’ll miss the look on your face when I surprise you at home on a visit! Love you to infinity and beyond. your little big girl ♥️💔

Her laugh, her smile, her pink lipstick, her wigs. (Lol). Her nails always being done, her trying to beat me at crib (but I ended up double skunking her-twice!-then she told me I had to go home...but not that nicely). The way she would cross her eyes when she took a sip of a good drink. Chocolate bars. Fried chicken. Scary movies. Soul music. The blues. Big Dave McLean. Having conversations in French with her. Pictures and stories late into the nights as she was a night owl. Just me and her time. How she made my heart sing when she laughed at my jokes. Our private nicknames to each other. Her. All of her. Every. Single. Second I got to spend with her. Forever you are in my heart. J’taime grand-mère. J’taime avec tout ma cœur.
