Obituary for Ange-Aimée Laura Giroux (Dumais)
Ange Aimee Giroux
Born December 11, 1923 in Chelmsford, Ontario. Passed on June 26th, 2020 at Pioneer Manor, Sudbury.
In loving memory of Ange-Aimee Laura Giroux (nee Dumais). Beloved wife of 74 years to Louis Giroux predeceased 2015. Ange-Aimee was predeceased by her parents Fortunat Dumais and Alma (Tranchemontagne), her eldest son Normand (wife Darquise Davidson), by her grandson Daniel Scanks, and by her granddaughter Julie Bolduc.
Will be sadly missed by her children; Claudette (Yvon Aube predeceased), Clement (Suzanne Lalonde), Pauline (John Hughes), Laurier (Sylvie Bourbonnais), Diane (Gaston Nadeau), Gerald (Wilma Ross), and Denis (Janette Mallette). Proud grandmother of Carmen, Michael, Marc, Lynn, Denise, Lynne, Tammy, Paul, Monique, Angele, Richard, Louis, Maurice, Gerry Jr., Malissa, Sean, Patrick, and Amanda. Mom was especially proud of her 30 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren, always a source of pride and joy in her life.
Mom was a woman who loved feeding family and friends, and always had something warm on the stove for those who just dropped in for a minute. Her wonderful handmade quilts have become a family heirloom, and will be cherished by many family members.
The family would like to thank the staff at Pioneer Manor for the excellent care and compassion during Ange-Aimee’s stay. A celebration of her life will take place at a later date. Interment in the Chelmsford Cemetery. Donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the Lougheed Funeral Home.
