It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Mr. Brij Behari Garg on April 8, 2020 at the age of 82 years. He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 51 years, Dr. Rashmi Garg; his daughter-in-law Niki; his sons Vibhor and Amit; his granddaughter Nova; and his grandson Zev with whom he shares a birthday. Joining them are life-long friends in Canada and many relatives abroad who adored his jovial, generous nature. He is survived by five loving sisters and many cousins.

Born in Shamli, India, Brij emigrated to Canada in 1961, and after studying and living in several places in the country settled in Sudbury, Ontario to work with valued colleagues in metallurgical research at Falconbridge, until his retirement in 1998. Throughout his life he excelled at cricket, tennis, bridge and gardening. Brij was a founding member and past President of the Sudbury Prathana Samaj (a Hindu temple).

Cremation services were performed at the Park Lawn Crematorium on Friday, April 10th, 2020. Arrangements entrusted to the Lougheed Funeral Home.
