Obituary for Lillian Violet Harper (Fillier)

In
loving memory
of
Lillian Violet Harper (nee Fillier)
92 years.
Passed away peacefully at Extendicare Falconbridge
on Saturday, March 21st, 2020.

Beloved wife of James “Ed” Harper predeceased. Loving mother of Geraldine (Bill), Sharon (Peter), Brian (Diana – predeceased) and Ken. Proud grandmother to Jason (predeceased), Sabrina (Leo), Jeffrey, Scott and Robin. Doting great-grandmother to Jake, Kate, Sydney, Georgina, and twins Stephanie and Abigail.
In service she found her calling, and answered each and every time. Whether family, church, friend or stranger, they found comfort, assurance and guidance. Her quiet wisdom was sprinkled with laughter and a quick whit that put everyone at ease. Her passing leaves a hole that can never be filled; her life, an example of service, humility and grace.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Grace United Church (formally St. Luke’s United Church), where Lillian was a devout member, would be appreciated by the family.

Due to COVID19 and the social gathering restrictions, there will be visitation or service at this time. She will be buried alongside her husband in the Civic Memorial Cemetery. A service and celebration of her life will be announced at a later date. For donations, or messages of condolence, www.lougheed.org.

“May the Good Lord hold you in the palm of his hand, now and forever.”
Love you Ma.
