Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, February 29th, 2020 at Pioneer Manor.
Beloved wife of 58 years to Bob Paul predeceased in 2007. Loving mother of Glenn (Cyndy) and Doug (Bonnie). Cherished grandma of Matt. Predeceased by her parents Einar and Aino Wilson (nee Laine) and siblings Alice MacDonald (Bob also predeceased), Gertrude (Ed also predeceased), Irmar and Violet Holler (Tony) also predeceased. Survived by her sister Hilkka Nesbitt (Darl predeceased). She will be sadly missed by her nieces and nephews. Pirkko was born in Tuuri, Finland and came to Canada when she was 3 years old. She enjoyed gardening, painting, baking and being with her family.
The family would like to thank the staff at Pioneer Manor for their care and compassion, especially Sylvie and Carole.
Memorial Service at the Lougheed Funeral Home (252 Regent Street at Hazel Street) on Thursday, March 5th, 2020 at 11:30 am. Friends may gather at the funeral home after 9:30 am. Donations to the NEO Kids Foundation would be appreciated.
