Obituary for Raymond Chretien

CHRÉTIEN
On Saturday, February 22, 2020, Raymond Alfred Chrétien passed away at the age of 87, at The Pioneer Manor in Sudbury. He is predeceased by his wife Anita Chrétien in 2017.
He is survived by his son Richard (wife Denise) and his daughter Gail Chrétien, a granddaughter Mélanie Woods (husband James Woods) and great granddaughter Anna Woods, a grandson Marc Chrétien (spouse Kayla Mitchell) a great granddaughter, Tannisyn Romo-Chrétien and great grandsons Braylon Romo and Levi Chrétien. He is also survived by 3 brothers Roger Chrétien (late wife, Thérêse Chrétien), Jonny Chrétien (wife Georgette) Gérald Chrétien (wife Elva Chrétien), Eliizabeth (Betty) Furchner (husband Rod Furchner). He was also predeceased by his parents Irene and Rhéal Chrétien, his sister Anita Tessier and brother Robert (wife Viviane Chrétien). He was loved and will be missed by his nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, brothers and sisters in-law and friends.
Raymond worked at The Sudbury Star for 47 years and worked his way up to Press Room Foreman. He loved going to work every day and missed it til the end. His family would also like to thank the Nurses and Personal Support Workers at The Pioneer Manor who took amazing care of Raymond and made his stay there very warm and comfortable until the end of his life. In lieu of flowers, donations to Northern Cancer Foundation or Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
