Lynda Ann Billings (nee Hofbauer)
70 years.
Passed away peacefully with her loving family at her side on Tuesday, February 11th, 2020 at Health Sciences North.
She will be sadly missed by her beloved partner of 12 years Al “Chach” Charlebois. Loving mother of Michael Billings (Mai), Stacey Nearing (Brad), and Jaime and step children Jonathan, Stephen, and Sarah (Clayton). Cherished grandma of Kyla, Nickolas, Abigail, Joseph, Enzo, Braedan, Maddax, Liam, Bailey, Léa and Maya. Predeceased by her parents Michael and Isabella Hofbauer (nee Wortz) and sisters Audrey McAlinden (Irwin also predeceased) and Eunice Bowman. She will be sadly missed by her best friend & “sister” Sheila Lapierre as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Lynda worked as a hairdresser since the age of 16 and worked for many years at Hair Expressions in Garson. She loved baking, road trips and camping. She had a passion for gardening and looked forward to taking care of her flowers every summer. She was happiest when she was spending time with her family and grandchildren.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff, doctors and especially the nurses at Health Sciences North emergency department and ICU for their excellent care and compassion.
At Lynda’s request there will be no visitation or service. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. Donations to the Neo Kids Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to the Jackson & Barnard Funeral Home.
