Obituary for Edward Albert Cretzman

In Loving Memory of
Edward Albert Cretzman
91 years
Peacefully, Saturday February 8th, 2020 at his residence, with loving family at his side.

Beloved husband of Iris (Pascoe) Cretzman predeceased 1984; Irene (Petrenko) Cretzman predeceased 1997; and Susan Hause. Loving father of Donald (wife Heather), Marvin (Heather), Barbara, and Gordon. Cherished grandfather of Robert and Jessica. Dear son of Edward and Minnie (Guse) Cretzman both predeceased. Loving brother of Arlene (husband Garth Wunsch). Special uncle to Jennifer Arnott.

Ed was a retired superintendent from INCO with 35 ½ years of service, retiring in 1982. He then did the books for Jackson Auto for 30 years. He was devoted to his loving family, and happiest when in their company. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially at his camp on Fairbanks, where he hunted and fished. A man of great faith, he actively served and participated in the ministries and events at Trinity United Church, Lively. Ed daily lived the lessons taught by Jesus and can echo the words of St. Paul: “I fought the good fight. I finished my course. I kept the faith.”

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Trinity United Church Memorial Fund, Maison McCulloch Hospice Shared Care Team, or the Northern Cancer Foundation would be appreciated.

The family expresses their appreciation to all of Ed’s care providers, medical, and nursing staffs for their excellent care and support, as well as his extended community and church family for their friendship and presence.

A celebration of his life will be held in
