Dear Graham and Family

Jim Bolger and Gail (Rivers) Bolger...So very saddened Graham and family to hear of Sandra s passing. She was a lovely person and this brings back memories when we would climb trees together and enjoy each others company when we were growing up in Lively. Sandra was always pleasant. She will be missed.

Sandy's passing has reminded me of the bonds which still remain strong between the Hayes and McGinn families - despite distance, time and death. Diane and I were talking the other day of receiving cards from Doris signed... from your other mother. It was true. Our brother Ken and Tim maintained their strong bond. Despite Ken passing at age 38, Tim has maintained contact with his family. Kenneth Jr. will be attending Sandy's funeral as a result of love for this family, over time. Either family was welcome to the other's any time, any where. Sandy babysat us, and survived. I mentioned this at Dad's funeral, which Sandy had attended with our 2nd mother. I mentioned them coming from Lively to Mitchell for the funeral, commenting that Sandy looked the same as she did when she babysat us. After the service, Sandy came up and offered me a dollar. What's that for, I asked... she replied in a heartbeat, that's for saying how good I looked today. .. and we both howled w laughter. Sandy, I say the same thing today - you sure look good. Growing up in a small northern town, across the street from the Hayes family was grounding. Learned a lot about friendship, hard work, kindness, second chances, caring and helping each other from Doris and Len, and their children. God bless.

We were saddened to hear of Sandy’s passing & regret will not be able to attend the services. Our thoughts & prayers go out to Graham & the family. We will always remember Sandy for her kind & generous spirit & loving nature. She was the best dog sitter, friend & confidant. She took our 2 spaniels over the Christmas holidays when she & Graham had 2 small boys & Santa coming, who else would do that? A truly great friend. And her Nanaimo bars were the best “bar” none, I have never made them as they will never be like hers. We will miss her & love her forever.

OMG that is so sad. Sandy was, in my mind, the epitome of a kind, thoughtful, caring and loving lady. I call her and Graham friends for life. I offer my most sincere and heart felt condolences to family, relatives and friends.
