Obituary for Edith Thurlow (Shannon)

In Loving Memory
of
Edith “DeDe” Mary Thurlow
(nee Shannon)

The family of Edith Thurlow announces with great sorrow her passing on Monday, January 27th, 2020 at the Maison McCulloch Hospice.

Beloved wife of 44 years to Kenneth Thurlow (predeceased). Loving mother of Lisa Rudyk (Bernie), Mary-Louise Thurlow (predeceased), Michael Thurlow (Lee Ann Monto), Shana Stafford (John), and Patricia-Lee Thurlow (predeceased). Cherished grandmother of Christopher Rudyk (Brittnee), Alex Rudyk, Cody Stafford and great grandmother of Abigail Armstrong. Dear daughter of Alfred and Geraldine Shannon (both predeceased). Dear sister of Frank Shannon (predeceased), Edna Culligan, Cletus Shannon (predeceased), George Shannon (predeceased), Emily Coggon (predeceased) and Bunny Shannon. Edith was devoted to her family to whom she leaves so many fond memories. She was a long-standing member of St. Stanislaus Church and the CWL in Copper Cliff. She enjoyed curling, bocce and travel and loved visiting her home in Belledune, New Brunswick, which was always close to her heart. She will be greatly missed by her loving family, caring neighbours and friends as well as her dog Buddy, who gave her so much comfort and love. Our deepest gratitude to the staff at the Maison McCulloch Hospice for their kindness.
A private family gathering was held at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home with interment in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
Donations to the Maison McCulloch Hospice would be appreciated.
