Obituary for Edward M. Zanier
In loving memory of Dr. Edward Michael Zanier, 81 years.
Peacefully on Sunday, January 19th, 2020, with his loving family by his side.
Beloved husband of Catherine (Farrell) Zanier for 55 years.
Loving father of Michael, Paula (James Allen) and David (Karine).
Adored and much loved Nono of Maxwell, Julia, Matti, Jake, Cam and Wes. Dear son of Edward Zanier and Madeline (Cushnir) both predeceased. Dear brother of Sally Davies and Doris Lisk (predeceased). Fondly remembered as "Uncle Chunky" by many nieces and nephews. Born and raised in Creighton Mine, Ed attended St. Charles College, and was a graduate of the University of Toronto School of Dentistry. Well-known and respected, Ed practiced dentistry in Sudbury from 1965 to 2013. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, relaxing with family and friends at the cottage on Fairbank Lake, and golfing at the Idylwylde. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or SickKids.
