Obituary for Mary Koroscil (Jennings)
Mary Koroscil (Jennings) 1937 – 2020
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mary on Monday, January 6th, 2020 at Health Sciences North. Loving wife and best friend to Alex, caring mother of Danny (France Albert) and Jeffrey. She was a special grandmother to Christopher and Nicholas whom she loved dearly. Mary was the daughter of Bill & Ellen Jennings (nee Hanlon) both predeceased. Sister of Maurice (Carmen Yanni) both predeceased, Patsy (Jim Koroscil) both predeceased, Doreen (Ted Kaczkowski) both predeceased, Cecilia (Nick Leuschen) both predeceased and Delmar (Rita Riopel) both predeceased. Loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Mary worked as a bookkeeper for Dr. M. Fostiak from 1963 until his death in 1976. She also worked at W. Bruce Martin’s Insurance for many years. She travelled extensively to England, Wales, Ireland, Europe and Florida and enjoyed her Alaskan cruise as well. She arranged many trips for friends and seniors before she became a caregiver for her loving husband. She was a past President of the Casa Bella Senior’s Club, a past CWL member of Our Lady of Hope, and a member of the Lockerby Legion Branch 564 Ladies Auxiliary. She also loved playing cards and enjoyed many happy years at their cottage with her family.
Due to current circumstances, at the request of the family, the funeral mass and burial will be post ponded until further notice. Donations to the Canadian Lung Association would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the Lougheed Funeral Home.
