Enio “Len” DeMattia
88 years
Peacefully, Friday, December 27th, 2019 at Extendicare York, Sudbury.

Beloved husband of 66 years of Sylvana (Cevraini) DeMattia. Loving father of Brian (wife Anita) and Brenda (husband Terry Desanti). Cherished Nono of Justin, Jonathan (wife Kristy), and Cristina (husband Bryan Doyen) and three great-grandchildren. Dear son of Ermenegildo “Gildo” and Clelia (Melchior) DeMattia both predeceased. Dear brother of Velma (husband Lucio DeLuca) both predeceased. Sadly missed by loving nieces and nephews.

Len was a successful and well-respected businessman in the community. He was the founder of Maple Leaf Masonry Supply Ltd. which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. Len was a very active person who enjoyed many activities, including golfing, skiing, curling, snowmobiling, and in younger years, hunting and fishing. He was a life member of the Caruso Club and a longtime member and past executive member of the Club Montessori. The family expresses their appreciation to the staff of the 5th Floor at Extendicare York for their excellent care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society or Club Montessori would be appreciated.

Wednesday, January 8th, 2020
at 10am.
Cremation with interment in the Civic Memorial Cemetery.
(No funeral home visitation. Friends may gather at the church after 9:30am Wednesday).
