July 7, 1953 – December 7, 2019

Wendy passed suddenly, Saturday evening, in the loving arms of her husband, at home in Sudbury.

Wendy leaves behind her husband Ronald and son Keith (of Olds, Alberta). Predeceased by her father Donald and mother Anne-Marie (nee Stevens) Ripley. Her siblings mourn her passing: Suzanne (predeceased), Donni (Dave Bodner), John, Teresa (Preston), Tom (Deborah), Paula (Rick), and Stephen, as well as many nieces and nephews in Sudbury, Ottawa, Toronto, Alberta, and British Columbia. Wendy was the second mother to her siblings. Family (related or not) were of paramount importance.

Wendy grew up on Ramsey Lake and was often to be found at Austin Airways or The Ramsey Lake Canoe Club. Wendy was a true extrovert. Anyone getting on the elevator at the Provincial Tower was a friend before their floor (if they remembered their floor number!). Wendy was also a lover of dogs and would not let a dog or its walker pass by without chatting to the dog and maybe the owner. Wendy loved gardening until her Fibromyalgia slowed her down.

I missed you when you moved back to Ontario. You were a caring, and non judgmental friend. I am so sad I won’t see you again on earth. I treasure the Christmas card you and Ron send this year. The most special Christmas card I received this year. I have Ron and Keith in my thoughts and hope they are coping with your sudden death.

Dear Ron and Keith,
As we are unable to travel to attend the Funeral Service we are sending our heartfelt sincere sympathy to your family and
the Ripley family. We are deeply saddened and heartbroken over Wendy's untimely passing. Gone too soon! Memories of
this special, kind, generous and beautiful soul will live on forever and could fill volumes. Memories are a legacy of love. We have
lost a faithful loving friend. Wendy would light up any room she entered and all those lives she touched. She was an amazing example of a "best friend". The distance apart never deterred the special bond we shared through numerous phone calls about
anything and everything that we will cherish for the rest of our lives. WE WILL MISS HER SO VERY MUCH!

Dear Ron and Keith Wendy and my friendship started at the basketball court watching our boys play at Lockerby High. No matter the distance apart we were able to maintain that friendship through visits and phone calls. I will really miss Wendy. My sympathies to You both.

Dear Ron, I was so sorry to learn about Wendy's passing. I have great memories of the help Wendy gave to the Golf tournament , especially the afternoon you & Wendy helped me wrap everything and box for storage. My sympathies to you & your family.

So truly very sorry to hear the sad news about Wendy's sudden passing. I will always cherish the fond memories that we had as children growing up whether it was in passing at the beach down the road or most often at the house engaged in play as a large group of neighbourhood children. The time playing never seemed to be enough despite the hours that we spent together whether it was for the most part outdoors inventing adventures with what little we had or on that special occasion to be inside. The sugar sandwiches I envied as it was such an original Ripley creation. Please accept our deepest condolences. With Love and heartfelt sympathy to all of the Ripley Family and their families... Kris, Angie and Effie Milosevic
