It is with great sadness that the family of Corlene Thompson announces her passing on October 28th 2019, in her 74th year.
Corlene was the beloved mother of Wayne Meunier (Lucie), William Meunier (Pauline) and Jason Lalande (Stephanie). Extremely proud Grandmother to Michael, Mellissa, David, Ryan, Davina, Crystal, Sebastian, Luke, Paige and Kaelan. Very loving Great grandmother to Joshua, Bentley and baby Ariah.
She will never be forgotten and always loved by her Siblings, Bart, Greg (Marlyn) and Lori (Scott) and all her nieces and nephews. Family was very special to Corlene and she lit up whenever she had the opportunity to visit or receive friends and family. Corlene was born July 6th 1946 in Sudbury Ontario and worked as a banquet waitress at the Sheraton Caswell Hotel in Sudbury for many years.
She was a very compassionate person who supported many over the years with love. She selflessly donated to charities and others in need before thinking of herself. She will be missed dearly by all those who knew her and was always able to put a smile on anyone’s face. She was the biggest cheerleader, we will all remember her voice when she would enthusiastically proclaim “YES!!” and “ALRIGHT!!”
Visitation will be held on Friday November 1st, 2019 from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch St., Sudbury. Celebration of life service will be held in the R. J. Barnard Chapel on Saturday November 2nd at 1:00 pm with coffee and tea reception to follow. Immediate family will attend the grave side service at 3:00 pm where she will be laid to rest with her parents.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Canadian Red Cross.
