Obituary for Severo Zanatta

In loving memory of Severo Zanatta who passed away peacefully after a brief illness with his family by his side on Tuesday, October 29th, 2019 at Health Sciences North at the age of 90. Known as “Mousey” to many; his small stature was in deep contrast to his larger than life personality, huge smile, generosity and presence.
Born in Coniston, Ontario, Severo was the son of Eugenio and Amabile Zanatta (nee Parolin) both predeceased. Husband of Louisa Zanatta (nee Pagan) of Sudbury. Loving father of Melissa Tibbett (Glenn) of Orillia, Leanna Graham (Dennis) of Toronto and Robert Zanatta of Sudbury. Cherished grandfather of Paige and Jordan Tibbett and Emily, Meghan and Evan Graham. Dear brother of Dina Chomyshyn (Harry) both deceased, Albino (Eleanor) of Fort Erie, Frank (Lorraine) of Copper Cliff, Eugenio Jr. deceased (Marilyn of Kitchener) and Allan (Grace) of Brighton. Severo worked at Inco for 36 years retiring in 1985. A man of great faith, he belonged to St. Andrew the Apostle Church and was a 3rd Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus. He also was a long time member of the Copper Cliff Italian Club. Severo was a true family man always taking interest in what his grandchildren were doing and was the happiest when surrounded by family at home or during the summers at his second home on Downes Lake.
