Passed away peacefully on Friday, October 4th, 2019 at his home.
Beloved husband of Brenda Saaremets (Pearce) predeceased 2014. Loving father of Aili Arifi (Adem) of Kitchener and Taavi Jr. (Meghan) of Sudbury. Proud grandfather (aka Bompi) of Ella, Talia, Mara and William. Dear son of Felix and Karin Saaremets (Arroso) both predeceased. Dear brother of Aiki Skakavac (Jovo) and Marit Scanlon (Paul) and brother in law of Lynda Sim. Sadly missed by many relatives and friends. Taavi was a retired Fire Captain. He loved travelling and exploring North America, he enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his four grandchildren. He enjoyed building things and was always willing to lend a helping hand.
