John “Jack” Robert Love
Passed away on Monday, September 9, 2019 at Health Sciences North.
Jack started working at the age of 16 years old in sheet metal, then Curphy Brothers Towing in Toronto. At 18 years, he met Sharon O’Brien while working as a paramedic with Ogden Funeral Home in Toronto in the fall of 1970. The Sacrament of Matrimony was held on June 3rd, 1972 at St. Rose of Lima Parish in Scarborough. Jack and Sharon have three children Darren Robert John born in Scarborough on January 18th, 1973, Trevor Andrew John also born in Scarborough, on June 3rd, 1975 and Alyson Elizabeth born in Lindsay on October 7th, 1977. Jack & Sharon bought their first home in Cameron, Ontario outside of Lindsay in the fall of 1975. With the loss of his father Harold and brothers James and Fred, Jack left the job he loved due to PTSD for a while. He moved the family to Lively, Ontario in 1980. Jack worked for Maislin Transport in Toronto and stayed with his sister and commuted back and forth on his days off. Jack went back to Cambrian College and upgraded his education to include his grade 12 equivalency and Paramedic Qualifications. From there he became the Operations Manager of the Sudbury Ambulance Service owned by Tony Dubé. In 1997, Jack became ill and was diagnosed with MS in January of 1998. Over the years he suffered from many health problems. He tried to prepare his family “Sharon, I have outlived my nine lives”. Jack was an exceptional man.
