Obituary for Lynn Joy Murray
Lynn Murray 1949-2019.
Lynn passed away peacefully at Health Sciences North in Sudbury, on Tuesday, September 10th, 2019 with her two loving friends by her side. She will be sadly missed by her beloved cat Sammie, her sister Dorothy, and her wonderful and caring friends and relatives. Lynn was born in South Porcupine where she attended Broadway Avenue Public School and South Porcupine High School. She went on to attend North Bay Teachers College and then graduated with a Bachelor of Education degree from Laurentian University. Lynn loved teaching and spent each summer searching for new ideas and strategies to enrich the primary students she taught, first at Levack Public School and then at Chelmsford Public School. She was always proud of the successes achieved by her students. We appreciate the support and kindness Lynn received from Dr. Herranen, and the nurses and staff at Health Sciences North on the 5th floor south tower and ICU. At Lynn’s request, there will be no visitation or service. She will be cremated and later interred with her parents, Joy and Gordon Murray in Whitney Cemetery, in Porcupine.
