Obituary for Keith Carlyle Dunn

In loving memory of Keith Dunn in his 83rd year, who passed away on Thursday, August 8th, 2019 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Beloved husband of Mae (Hunt) Dunn predeceased February 25th, 1998. Loving brother of Dr. Elwood Dunn (Dale), Helen Dubord, Brian (Marilyn) and Leanne Nesseth (Albert). Will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Stan and May Dunn. Born and raised in Sudbury, Keith moved to Lively in 1952. He joined the RCMP in October of 1956 and later became a member of C.S.I.S. His career included policing in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia (where he met the love of his life); the Musical Ride; a transfer to headquarters in Ottawa; served in Hong Kong, Australia and several South American countries. Keith was recognized with a 35 year Service Medallion by the government of Canada. Keith’s family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Health Sciences North and Pastor Kevin Parks for his visits with Keith and prayerful support. At Keith’s request, there will be no service. His ashes will be buried next to his wife Mae in Catalone Cemetery, Cape Breton, N.S. Anyone wishing to make a donation in Keith’s memory, the charity of choices are, the Salvation Army, Covenant House, World Vision or the Northern Cancer Foundation.
