In
Loving Memory
of
Michael John “Mike” “Pert” Pressacco
39 years.
It is with profound sadness we announce his sudden passing on Monday, July 29th, 2019 doing what he loved most, playing hockey.
He will be forever loved and deeply missed by his proud parents Graziano Pressacco (Cindy Latendresse) and Anna Kamerbeek-Di Viesti. Adored big brother of Taya Kamerbeek (Riley). Step brother of Shane Latendresse (Nickole) and their daughters Alayna and Emery. He will be sadly missed by his loving partner Natalie Lecompte and her son Cole who had a special place in Mike’s heart, and her parents Leonard and Joanne Lecompte & family. Beloved grandson of Erminio and Rosina Pressacco (both predeceased) and Frank (predeceased) and Jeannette Di Viesti. Much loved nephew of Zio Antonio Pressacco, John Di Viesti (Donna), Tony Di Viesti (Sheila) and Lisa Berthiaume (Dan). He will also be sadly missed by his aunts, uncles, cousins, many friends including “The Boys” who he has been friends with since kindergarten, his hockey buddies and his Skaters Edge family.
Mike was a sports guy. He had a passion for hockey and enjoyed playing soccer and more recently baseball. He was proud to be the Head Purchasing Agent for Skaters Edge. Family was the most important thing to Mike and he was happiest when he was surrounded by his family and friends. He was a kind hearted, quiet, gentle soul who was known for his generosity, humanity and selflessness. A friend to everyone and would never turn his back on anyone who needed help. The last gift that Mike was able to give was the most precious one, his organs. Through this generous donation up to eight lives will be saved. The family encourages anyone who hasn’t yet signed up to be an organ donor to please do so.
The family would like to thank from the bottom of our hearts everyone who has had a role in Mike’s journey over the past few years. In 2016 Mike suffered a heart attack and with the help of over 100 people at Health Sciences North his life was saved and we were able to have him with us for another 3 wonderful years. To the doctors, nurses and staff at Health Sciences North, especially the Cardiac Unit, thank you for your diligence and dedication, you worked tirelessly and never gave up right until the end. To his Skaters Edge family for their kindness and compassion and for closing the store for the day to honour Mike. To the first responders for their efforts and his amazing friends for being there for us. Also to our family and friends who have travelled from all over Ontario to be with us, support and comfort us during this difficult time. The love and compassion we have been shown over the past few days is overwhelming and most appreciated.
