Obituary for D'Arcy Ralph McDonald

In Loving Memory of D’Arcy Ralph McDonald 80yrs who passed away peacefully with his girls by his side Monday June 3, 2019, he was a devoted husband of 55 years of Carol McDonald (previously deceased), loving father of Kelly, Mary-Jane, Colleen and Monica. Doting Papa to Shauna “Sweet Pea”and “Little” D’Arcy, loving son and son in law of Margaret and Frank McDonald and Toots and Lenny O’Brien ( all predeceased), dear brother of Patrick ( Theresa), Fred( predeceased) ( Monica), Margaret Fitzsimmons(Jim predeceased), Bill( predeceased)(Rolande), Brian (Fern), Larry (Anita), triplet Donald “Donny”(predeceased)(Claire), triplet David(predeceased), Mary Rampado (Ed), and Dolores McDonald, loving brother in law to Cathy Lemieux ( Norman predeceased), Patrick O’Brien (predeceased), Russel O’Brien ( predeceased), Sharon Lif (Sten), Lenore Duncan( Brian predeceased) and Mary-Lynne Clark (Kelly) and wonderful uncle to many nieces and nephews. D’Arcy was born and raised in Markstay, where he lived with his loving wife and raised his family. He was a volunteer Fireman for almost 30 years, avid volunteer with curling, broomball, winter carnivals, ringuette and minor sports, also involved in St. Marks Church. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, and will be fondly remembered for his strength, his bear hugs and his B.S.story telling skills. He most loved his family, camp on Kukagami lake, going fishing with his brothers, nieces and nephews no matter the age or skill. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing with his friends. Heartfelt thank you to Dr Paul Rheault and Nicole Mayhew their excellent care.

A Celebration of his life will be held at The Wahnapitae Community Centre on Thursday, June 6th, 2019 at 11am
(Friends may gather at the Wahnapitae Community Centre after 10:30am on Thursday)
Cremation with interment in the family plot at St. Marc’s Cemetery, Markstay,
