FAVERO, GINO - We were blessed to have Gino Favero with us for 89 wonderful years. On May 12th, 2019 Gino passed away peacefully surrounded with an abundance of love from his family.

A devoted husband to Teresa (nee Secco) for 62 years, father to Carla (Neil), Diego (Donalda), Paul (Sue), and loving Nonno to Jordanna, Ryan, Alyssa, Corey, Erika and Tessa.

He is now reunited in heaven with parents, Luigia and Arcangelo. One of twelve children, he grew up in Venagazzu, Treviso, Italy. Gino leaves behind his remaining brother Serafino and sister Giacomina.

Gino was an extremely talented, professional carpenter who expanded those skills to build many fine pieces of furniture for his home and his children. His most enjoyable times were with family and friends enjoying Teresa’s cooking along with his homemade wine. He embraced all that Canada offered including hunting, fishing, many bocce tournaments, bowling, hockey (devoted Boston Bruins fan), mushroom picking, wine making, and gardening. All this, while enjoying his strong Italian traditions as a Caruso club member and active board and committee advisor from the early years of its inception. Gino was an amazing builder but an even more extraordinary builder of family. As a husband, he had an uncompromised love for his wife, as a father he had a deep pride in his children and as a Nonno he always had huge smiles for his grandchildren.

Gino's obituary is a beautiful and eloquent tribute to a sweet and gentle man. The Bohme/Shepherd family recalls some happy memories of time spent together, and now we imagine Gino and Gunter singing with the angels with their respective Italian and German accents, and, most likely enjoying some delicious salami, cheese and divine wine. Our sincere and deep condolences to Teresa, and all those whose lives will have a huge void without Gino's physical presence...from Ursula and Sonja
