Obituary for Todd Steven Muzyka

It is with peaceful hearts we share the passing of Todd Muzyka, lovingly surrounded by his cherished family on April 3rd, 2019 at Maison McCulloch Hospice.

Todd is survived by his wife and best friend of 28 years, Whitney (Eyre), mother Annie (Peter predeceased), brother Peter (Sue), children Michael (Stephanie Rossini), Melissa (Simon Laplante), canine buddy Bo, niece Ashley Muzyka (great-niece Sophie), Deanna Desrochers (Rory and Rowyn), Justin Desrochers (Amanda; Sloan and Alexis). Special Canadian father to Pedro Martin-Cebrian of Spain. Beloved son-in-law to Linda Eyre and Bruce Eyre (Brenda Cunningham), special brother-in-law to Dean Eyre and Sandy Eyre.

Capturing the essence of an incredible person in just a few words, seems impossible.

Todd was loving, caring, passionate, honest, loyal, proud of his life and family, steadfast and strong. No matter how you knew Todd, you know he was this and more. His hobbies were many, his talent and abilities endless, his friendships strong and his love unending. Although our hearts are broken now, he left us with memories of happiness and laughter. Most importantly, we know that he LOVED us with his whole being.

We will fish, camp, travel, and cruise in his old GTO celebrating and thanking God for sharing him with us. God had other plans, but we will find solace and happiness in our memories of life with Todd, built on a foundation of love and family. He taught us how to live, but also how to pass on with calm dignity.

“You are at peace and you will live on in our hearts until we are together again.”

Thank you to the incredible staff of the Cancer Centre, the 4th Floor HSN Oncology staff, and the student nurses who always went above and beyond with their care and their compassion. Thank you to the staff of the Hospice. We are so grateful for the warmth and care provided to Todd and our family. Finally, thank you to our friends and family who have surrounded us with love and strength. We love you!

Donations in lieu of flowers to the Maison McCulloch Hospice or the Richard Fedec Student Hardship Bursary would be appreciated.
