Passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on
Monday, April 1st, 2019 at Health Sciences North.
Beloved husband and best friend of 40 years to Mary Speedie (nee Wallace). Loving and devoted father of Crystal, Amy (Eldon), Angela, Nathan, Kathleen (Colton), Rebekah (Thomas) and Kendra (Travis). Cherished grandfather of Kenneth and Margret. Predeceased by his parents Lloyd and Edythe Speedie (nee Howell). Dear brother of Gary Speedie. He will be sadly missed by family and many friends.
Ken worked as a clerk at Revenue Canada, retiring in 2003. He was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
The family wishes to extend a most sincere thank you for the doctors and nursing staff of Health Sciences North, particularly the nurses of the 4th floor.
A memorial service will be held Friday, April 5th, 2019 at 11:00 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (900 Cambrian Heights Dr, Sudbury). Friends may gather at the church after 10:00 am on Friday. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium with burial at a later date in St. Marks Cemetery in Milford Bay. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Kidney Foundation of Canada and Diabetes Canada. Arrangements entrusted to the Jackson & Barnard Funeral Home.
